The Nimphod can be a rather annoying creature. This species creates its home in stone and rocks nearby villages and in large numbers. Nimphods have no arm appendages only small non functioning wings in its place. Although these small wings are absolutely useless to the Nimphod, they usually spend a lot of their days trying to fly. The problem with them trying to fly is that it usually leads them to an unintentional suicide. This happens when a Nimphod becomes so frustrated it cannot leave the ground that it decides to try to get some air under its wings by jumping from high altitudes. Obviously this is an extremely bad idea which results in a lot of bloody mountain sides. The upside to this situation is that the blood of the Nimphod has a wonderful odor refreshing the area in which the Nimphod lands with a wonderful fragrance. It is not uncommon for some travelers to collect Nimphod blood (Nimphod juice which it is usually called to create a less unsettling image) for sale as ingredients in perfumes and incense.
