The Strangers are just as their name intends; they are strangers to everything and anyone. Practically no one knows of them or who they are, they almost always go unnoticed disappearing into the background of any situation. There are many strangers among the lands and vast planes of Grossland.The Strangers are wanderers, constantly moving in search of answers. Like everything else, the Strangers also have no idea where they came from or who they are. The Strangers also have no control over their surroundings. As they walk the various worlds, their reality constantly changes around them sometimes relocating them thousands of miles instantly. They are also the only known creatures that can enter and exit The Unknown at will, which is if they have enough time to do so without being transported to another plane against their will.

Occasionally the Strangers do come in contact with each other. They only stop with enough time to share information they have collected about their existence. Most of the time Strangers sit and ponder why they search for their existence at all, they all know that merely finding a meaning will not change what they are.

It has been noted by few travelers who have actually spoken with a Stranger that each stranger speaks in verse as they were speaking in poem form. The style of their words often reflects their personality and changes as they change mood.

The Strangers are not completely overlooked by all; there is a group of unknown beings whom the Strangers refer to as “The Watchers”. They are known to hunt Strangers to give them an ultimatum of join or die. There is no other known information of the Watchers intentions, origin or even to whom or what they are affiliated. 

Many of the strangers are naturally excellent fighters. Most wield a weapon of choice in which they are masters. Although Strangers can defeat even the most skilled warriors of the various lands, they almost never initiate confrontation and remain peaceful beings whose only aim is knowledge.
